Jules is a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion based in Auckland, Aotearoa – New Zealand. Her qualifications and background are in psychology and health promotion and she works in the disability field. She has a son with autism and two loved ones in her inner circle acquired life changing disabilities before old age. These experiences caring for others both in her professional life and in her personal life have given Jules a deep understanding of the need to care for ourselves as we care for others. Self-compassion can help us do this and can prevent empathic distress and burnout.
